One of the most prolific porn stars of the ’70s, Darby earned her crown by appearing in over 50 hardcore films. Her skills even managed to land her roles in a few mainstream films, an unusual crossover for porn actresses at the time. In 1971, she was cast as a stripper in the crime drama The French Connection opposite Gene Hackman. Unfortunately, her scene was cut. Her best-known role is as a horny housewife in the X-rated Naked Came the Stranger (1975), where she flaunts full frontal for a series of poundings and gets succulently Sapphic with Mary Stuart.
